Production of Synthetic Rubber under Major Petrochemicals from 2010-11 to 2017-18

Synthetic Rubber petrochemical Products namely Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR), Poly Butadiene Rubber (PBR), Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) were produced during 2010-11 to 2017-18. Production of SBR was 12.24 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11. It has decreased by -26.23% to 9.03 thousand metric tonne in 2011-12 over 2010-11. We have seen annual growth of 15.92% in SBR production to 193.97 thousand metric tonne during 2017-18 versus 167.33 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17. Production of PBR was 76.37 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11. It has increased by 334 basis points to 78.92 thousand metric tonne during 2011-12 over 2010-11. Annual decline of -2.95% has been observed in PBR production to 113.63 thousand metric tonne during 2017-18 against 117.09 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17.

Production of EVA was 10.78 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11. It has increased by 15.4% to 12.44 thousand metric tonne in 2011-12 over 2010-11. EVA Production was 2.41, 0 and 0 thousand metric tonne from 2015-16 to 2017-18 respectively. Production of NBR was 6.03 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11. It has declined by -98.84% to 0.07 thousand metric tonne during 2011-12 over 2010-11. We have observed annual de-growth of -85.71% in NBR production from 0.35 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17 to 0.05 thousand metric tonne during 2017-18.
