Production of Synthetic Detergent Intermediates of Major Petrochemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17

Two products namely Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) and Ethylene Oxide (EO) were produced under Synthetic Detergent Intermediates category of Major Petrochemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17. Production of Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) was 463.846 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. It has increased by 2.34% to 474.691 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have seen an annual growth of 18.68% in production of Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) from 377.2 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16 to 447.645 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17.

Production of Ethylene Oxide (EO) was 154.198 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. It has increased by 6.04% to 163.504 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have observed an annual growth of 14.74% in production of Ethylene Oxide (EO) to 216.063 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17 versus 188.309 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16.

Maximum annual production of 474.691 thousand metric tonne was recorded in 2010-11 in production of Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) during the period under consideration. Maximum annual production of 216.063 thousand metric tonne was recorded in 2016-17 in production of Ethylene Oxide (EO) during the period under consideration.
