Product-wise Export of Alkali Chemicals from 2010-11 to 2017-18

Three products namely Soda Ash, Caustic Soda and Liquid Chlorine were exported under Alkali Chemicals during 2010-11 to 2017-18. Export of Soda Ash was 199765 metric tonne during 2010-11. It has increased by 28.96% to 257622 metric tonne during 2011-12 over 2010-11. Its value was Rs. 18281 lakh during 2010-11 and Rs. 31586 lakh during 2011-12. We have observed annual growth of 245.87% in export of Soda Ash during 2016-17 from 18613 metric tonne during 2015-16. Export of Soda Ash was 110087 metric tonne during 2017-18, up by 71% versus 64377 metric tonne during 2016-17. In value term it was Rs. 10793 lakh and Rs. 19377 lakh during 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively.

Export of Caustic Soda was 143791 metric tonne during 2010-11. It has decreased by -42.83% to 82208 metric tonne during 2011-12 over 2010-11. In value term it was Rs. 25699 lakh and Rs. 18977 lakh during 2010-11 and 2011-12 respectively. Annual growth of 3.24% has been seen in export of Caustic Soda during 2016-17 from 82144 metric tonne during 2015-16. Export of Caustic Soda was 159630 metric tonne during 2017-18, up by 88.22% against 84809 metric tonne during 2016-17. Its value was Rs. 27773 lakh during 2016-17 and Rs. 66829 lakh during 2017-18.

Export of Liquid Chlorine was 3412 metric tonne during 2010-11. It has increased by 39.68% to 4766 metric tonne during 2011-12 over 2010-11. Its value was Rs. 573 lakh during 2010-11 and Rs. 1090 lakh during 2011-12. We have found annual decline of -15.52% in export of Liquid Chlorine during 2016-17 from 5987 metric tonne during 2015-16. Export of Liquid Chlorine was 3739 metric tonne during 2017-18, down by -26.08% versus 5058 metric tonne during 2016-17. In value term it was Rs. 1025 lakh and Rs. 674 lakh during 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively.
