Pharmacists at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) in March 2014 and March 2015

The total number of Pharmacists at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) in India as a whole was 23131 in March 2015. There was an increase of 442 in the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014. There were 8 states having more than 1000 number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs viz.  Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Assam, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh in March 2015.

The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Uttar Pradesh was 2883 in March 2015. It accounted for 12.46% of the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had similar number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in March 2014.

The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Karnataka was 2521 in March 2015. It accounted for 10.9% of the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 101 in the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014.

The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Maharashtra was 2100 in March 2015. It accounted for 9.08% of the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 12 in the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014. The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Tamil Nadu was 1526 in March 2015. It accounted for 6.6% of the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 83 in the number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014.

The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Odisha was 1499 in March 2015 (6.48% of All India). The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Assam was 1347 in March 2015 (5.82% of All India). The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Kerala was 1102 in March 2015 (4.76% of All India). The number of Pharmacists at PHCs and CHCs in Madhya Pradesh was 1023 in March 2015 (4.42% of All India).
