Increasing trend has been seen in India in Schools with Female Teachers 75.08% in 2010-11 and 76.48% in 2012-13. Chandigarh has highest Percentage of Schools with Female Teachers 100% in 2012-13 in comparison to other states followed by 97.28% in 2010-11. Jharkhand has lowest Percentage of Schools with Female Teachers 59.43% in 2012-13 and 57.35% in 2010-11 in comparison to other states. Eleven States viz. Assam, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tripura and West Bengal are below the National estimate 76.48% in 2012-13.
