Percentage of Schools having Drinking Water Facility

Increasing trend has been seen in India in Schools having Drinking Water Facility (92.71% in 2010-11 and 94.87% in 2012-13). Chandigarh, Delhi and Lakshadweep have the 100% Schools having Drinking Water Facility in both 2010-11 and 2012-13. Meghalaya has the lowest percentage of Schools having Drinking Water Facility 58.56% in 2010-11 and 59.07% in 2012-13 in comparison to other states. Fifteen States viz. Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Diu, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan and Tripura are below the National estimate 94.87% in 2012-13.
