Percentage of Indian Government Revenue as Proportion of GDP from 2015-16 to 2019-20

The percentage of Indian Government revenue as proportion of GDP was 8.68% during 2015-16. It has surged by 25 basis points to 8.93% during 2016-17 above 2015-16. We have observed annual de-growth of -0.2% in percentage of Indian Government revenue as proportion of GDP during 2018-19 from 8.39% during 2017-18. The percentage of Indian Government revenue as proportion of GDP was 9.08% during 2019-20, up by 0.89% against 8.19% during 2018-19.

The maximum annual growth of 0.89% has been seen in 2019-20 in percentage of Indian Government revenue as proportion of GDP during the period under consideration.
