The percentage of households receiving social protection benefits under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) was 41.38% in India during 2015-16. It has surged by 3.55% to 44.93% during 2016-17 above 2015-16. We have seen annual decline of -87 basis points in percentage of households receiving social protection benefits under MGNREGA in India during 2018-19 from 44.94% during 2017-18. The percentage of households receiving social protection benefits under MGNREGA in India was 35.3% during 2019-20, down by -8.77% against 44.07% during 2018-19.
The maximum value of 44.94% has been seen in 2017-18 in percentage of households receiving social protection benefits under MGNREGA in India during the period under consideration.
