Percentage of Enrolment in Single-Teacher Schools

Increasing trend has been seen in India in Enrolment in Single-Teacher Schools (3.56% in 2010-11 and 3.79% in 2012-13). Chandigarh, Lakshadweep and Puducherry have no Enrolment in Single-Teacher Schools in 2010-11 and 2012-13. Arunachal Pradesh has highest percentage of Enrolment in Single-Teacher Schools 13.08% in 2010-11 and 11.42% in 2012-13 comparison to other states. Nine States viz. Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are above the National estimate 3.79 % in 2012-13.
