Passenger Kilometres Performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines from 2007-08 to 2016-17

Passenger-kilometre is the unit of measurement representing the transport of one passenger by a defined mode of transport (road, rail, air, sea, inland waterways etc.) over one kilometre. A compound annual growth rate of 10.3% has been seen in domestic passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines during 2007-08 to 2016-17. Domestic passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines was 40697 million during 2007-08. It has decreased by -7.4% to 37703.9 million during 2008-09 over 2007-08. An annual growth of 20.8% has been observed during 2015-16 over 2014-15 from 67023.2 million in domestic passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines. We have seen an annual growth of 21.8% in domestic passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines from 80965.9 million during 2015-16 to 98641.2 million during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 21.8% has been observed in 2016-17 in domestic passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines during the period under consideration.

A compound annual growth rate of 7.9% has been seen in international passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines during 2007-08 to 2016-17. International passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines was 36129.6 million during 2007-08. It has increased by 12.8% to 40740.8 million during 2008-09 over 2007-08. An annual growth of 8.3% has been observed during 2015-16 over 2014-15 from 59879.8 million in international passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines. We have seen an annual growth of 10.2% in international passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines from 64821.4 million during 2015-16 to 71444.1 million during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 13.3% has been observed in 2013-14 in international passenger kilometres performed in All Scheduled Indian Airlines during the period under consideration.
