Para Medical Staffs at District Hospitals in India As on 31st March 2019

As on 31st March 2019, there were 85,194 (93.65%) para medical staffs in position at district hospitals in India; out of sanctioned strength of 90,969. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to para medical staffs in position at district hospitals as on 31.03.2019 were Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

The number of para medical staffs in position at district hospitals of Delhi was 13,093 (81.82%) as on 31st March 2019 out of 16,002 sanctioned. There were 8,611 (59.78%) para medical staffs in position at district hospitals of Madhya Pradesh as on 31.03.2019, out of sanctioned strength of 14,404. The number of para medical staffs in position at district hospitals of West Bengal was 6,294 (77.98%) as on 31/03/2019 out of 8,071 sanctioned. Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal accounted for 15.37%, 10.11% and 7.39% of the total para medical staffs in position at district hospitals in India as on 31st March 2019.

There were 5,704 and 5,252 para medical staffs in position at district hospitals in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka respectively as on 31.03.2019. Uttar Pradesh accounted for 6.7% and Karnataka accounted for 6.16% of the total para medical staffs in position at district hospitals in India as on 31/03/2019.

These aforementioned top 5 States/UTs accounted for 45.72% of the total para medical staffs in position at district hospitals in India as a whole as on 31st March 2019.
