Operating Expenses of Scheduled National Airlines from 2012-13 to 2016-17

Total Operating Expenses of Scheduled National Airlines was Rs. 219374.8 million during 2012-13. It has increased by 12.88% to Rs. 247635.1 million during 2013-14 above 2012-13. We have observed an annual growth of 10.69% in total Operating Expenses of Scheduled National Airlines to Rs. 248345.8 million during 2016-17 versus Rs. 224371.3 million during 2015-16. The top 3 heads under which maximum Operating Expenditure incurred during 2016-17 were (1) Flight Operations, (2) Flight Equipment Maintenance & Overhaul and (3) General & Administrative.

Operating Expenses of Scheduled National Airlines for Flight Operations was Rs. 111361.5 million, up by 19.29% during 2016-17 from Rs. 93354.6 million during 2015-16. This Expenditure accounted for 44.84% of the total Operating Expenditure incurred during 2016-17.

We have seen an annual growth of 9.61% in Operating Expenses of Scheduled National Airlines for Flight Equipment Maintenance & Overhaul from Rs. 26015.8 million during 2015-16 to Rs. 28514.9 million during 2016-17. This Expenditure accounted for 11.48% of the total Operating Expenditure incurred during 2016-17.

Operating Expenses of Scheduled National Airlines for General & Administrative was Rs. 28433.3 million, down by -1.61% during 2016-17 from Rs. 28899.3 million during 2015-16. This Expenditure accounted for 11.45% of the total Operating Expenditure incurred during 2016-17.
