The offtake of foodgrains was 44,955.22 thousand tons in India in 2014-15. It has surged by 10.32% to 49,594.2 thousand tons during 2015-16 over 2014-15. We have seen annual growth of 3.61% in offtake of foodgrains in India during 2017-18 from 52,166.63 thousand tons during 2016-17. The offtake of foodgrains in India was 52,400.39 thousand tons during 2018-19, down by -3.05% versus 54,049.08 thousand tons during 2017-18. During 2019-20 (upto Jan 2020), offtake of foodgrains was 44,171.14 thousand tons in India.
The maximum annual growth of 10.32% has been observed in 2015-16 in offtake of foodgrains in India during the period under consideration.
