Number of Convicts of Dacoity in 2013

The total number of convicts of dacoity in India during 2013 (at the end of the year) was 3067. The number of male convicts of dacoity was 3052 while the number of female convicts of dacoity was 15.

The top 10 States/UTs with the highest number of convicts of dacoity in 2013 were: Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Bihar. The top 5 States accounted for 49.57% of total number of convicts of dacoity in India during 2013 (at the end of the year).

Haryana had 440 convicts of dacoity in 2013, which was 14.35% of total convicts of dacoity in India. The number of male convicts of dacoity was 439 while the number of female convicts of dacoity was 1. Uttar Pradesh had 349 convicts of dacoity in 2013, which was 11.38% of total convicts of dacoity in India. The number of male convicts of dacoity was 349 while the number of female convicts of dacoity was 0. Delhi had 294 convicts of dacoity in 2013, which was 9.59% of total convicts of dacoity in India. The number of male convicts of dacoity was 294 while the number of female convicts of dacoity was 0. Madhya Pradesh had 246 convicts of dacoity in 2013, which was 8.02% of total convicts of dacoity in India. The number of male convicts of dacoity was 243 while the number of female convicts of dacoity was 3. West Bengal had 191 convicts of dacoity in 2013, which was 6.23% of total convicts of dacoity in India. The number of male convicts of dacoity was 190 while the number of female convicts of dacoity was 1.
Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry had no convict of dacoity in 2013.
