Mobile Telephone Subscribers as on 29.02.2016

The total number of mobile telephone subscribers in all the 22 Licensed Service Areas (LSA) in India was 1027166644 as on 29.02.2016. There were 10 Licensed Service Areas having more than 5 crore mobile telephone subscribers each viz. Uttar Pradesh (East), Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh (West) as on 29.02.2016.

The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Uttar Pradesh (East) was 91116032 as on 29.02.2016. It had a share of 8.87% in the total number of mobile telephone subscribers in India as on 29.02.2016.

The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Maharashtra was 83547444 as on 29.02.2016. Maharashtra had a share of 8.13% in the total number of mobile telephone subscribers in India as on 29.02.2016. The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Tamil Nadu was 81273580 as on 29.02.2016. Tamil Nadu had a share of 7.91% in the total number of mobile telephone subscribers in India as on 29.02.2016.

The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Andhra Pradesh was 74859487 as on 29.02.2016. Andhra Pradesh had a share of 7.29% in the total number of mobile telephone subscribers in India as on 29.02.2016. The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Bihar was 73299209 as on 29.02.2016. Bihar had a share of 7.14% in the total number of mobile telephone subscribers in India as on 29.02.2016.

The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Madhya Pradesh was 65142091 as on 29.02.2016 (6.34% share in All India). The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Gujarat was 61933564 as on 29.02.2016 (6.03% share in All India). The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Karnataka was 61379397 as on 29.02.2016 (5.98% share in All India). The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Rajasthan was 59527922 as on 29.02.2016 (5.8% share in All India). The number of mobile telephone subscribers in Uttar Pradesh (West) was 56670705 as on 29.02.2016 (5.52% share in All India).
