Milk Production Estimates from Exotic/Crossbred Cows in India during 2014-15

The milk production estimate from exotic/ crossbred cows in All India was 36938.92 thousand metric tonnes during 2014-15. The total cow milk production in All India was 66423.45 thousand metric tonnes during 2014-15. Thus, the percentage share of milk production estimate from exotic/ crossbred cows in total cow milk production estimate in All India was 55.61 % during 2014-15.

The top 5 states in terms of the milk production estimate from exotic/ crossbred cows in India were: Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab and Kerala during 2014-15.

The milk production estimate from exotic/ crossbred cows in Tamil Nadu was 6051.99 thousand metric tonnes during 2014-15. The total cow milk production in Tamil Nadu was 6652.17 thousand metric tonnes during 2014-15. Thus, the percentage share of milk production estimate from exotic/ crossbred cows in total cow milk production estimate in Tamil Nadu was 90.98 % during 2014-15.
