Major Marine Fish Products Export in 2013-14

The total export of Fish Fresh or chilled including Hilsa was Rs. 40448.7 Lakhs in the year 2012-13. It increased to Rs. 58585.16 Lakhs in the year 2013-14, recording an increase of Rs. 18136.46 Lakhs (44.84%) as compared to 2012-13.

The total export of Frozen Fish was Rs. 347373.55 Lakhs in the year 2012-13. It increased to Rs. 470331.01 Lakhs in the year 2013-14, recording an increase of Rs. 122957.46 Lakhs (35.4%) as compared to 2012-13.

The total export of Fish Fillets & Other Fish Meat was Rs. 102915.16 Lakhs in the year 2012-13. It decreased to Rs. 78298.93 Lakhs in the year 2013-14, recording a decrease of Rs. -24616.23 Lakhs (-23.92%) as compared to 2012-13.

The total export of Fish dried salted was Rs. 8345.35 Lakhs in the year 2012-13. It increased to Rs. 21975.35 Lakhs in the year 2013-14, recording an increase of Rs. 13630 Lakhs (163.32%) as compared to 2012-13.

The total export of Shrimp; Lobsters; Prawns was Rs. 1008157.32 Lakhs in the year 2012-13. It increased to Rs. 1966830.54 Lakhs in the year 2013-14, recording an increase of Rs. 958673.22 Lakhs (95.09%) as compared to 2012-13. This category was largest among the fish products export of India.

The total export of Molluscas; Cuttle Fish; etc. was Rs. 299261.64 Lakhs in the year 2012-13. It increased to Rs. 341956.21 Lakhs in the year 2013-14, recording an increase of Rs. 42694.57 Lakhs (14.27%) as compared to 2012-13.
