LPG Consumption in Domestic Distribution Sector in India from 2012-13 to 2018-19

India has witnessed an upward trend in consumption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in domestic distribution sector from 2012-13 to 2018-19. However we have observed compound annual growth rate of 8.16% in consumption of LPG in domestic distribution sector in India during the period under consideration.

Consumption of LPG in domestic distribution sector was 13,568 thousand metric tonnes (TMT) in India during 2012-13. It has surged by 6.22% to 14,411.6 TMT during 2013-14 over 2012-13. Annual growth of 7.84% has been seen in consumption of LPG in domestic distribution sector during 2017-18 from 18,871.4 TMT during 2016-17. Consumption of LPG in domestic distribution sector was 21,728 TMT in India during 2018-19, up by 6.76% against 20,351.8 TMT during 2017-18.

Maximum annual growth rate of 11.3% has been found in 2014-15 in consumption of LPG in domestic distribution sector during the period under consideration.
