Lab Technicians at Primary Health Centres and Community Health Centres in March 2014 and March 2015

The total number of lab technicians at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) in India as a whole was 17154 in March 2015. There was an increase of 475 in the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014. The top 10 states in terms of the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs were:  Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir in March 2015.

The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Rajasthan was 1930 in March 2015. It accounted for 11.25% of the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 100 in the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014.

The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Gujarat was 1401 in March 2015. It accounted for 8.17% of the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had the same number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014. The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Maharashtra was 1387 in March 2015. It accounted for 8.09% of the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 65 in the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014.

The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Tamil Nadu was 1314 in March 2015. It accounted for 7.66% of the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 289 in the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014. The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Karnataka was 1294 in March 2015. It accounted for 7.54% of the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in India in March 2015. It had shown an increase of 91 in the number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs as compared to March 2014.

The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Assam was 1225 in March 2015 (7.14% of All India). The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Uttar Pradesh was 963 in March 2015 (5.61% of All India). The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Madhya Pradesh was 892 in March 2015 (5.2% of All India). The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Andhra Pradesh was 776 in March 2015 (4.52% of All India). The number of lab technicians at PHCs and CHCs in Jammu and Kashmir was 763 in March 2015 (4.45% of All India).
