Kharif Crop-wise Increase/Decrease in All-India Weighted Average Cost of Production during 2016-17 & 2017-18 over previous year

Kharip crops namely Paddy, Jowar, Bajra, Maize, Ragi, Arhar (tur), Moong, Groundnut in Shell, Soyabeen and Sesamum were observed with an increase of less than Rs. 100 per quintal i.e., Rs. 25, 34, 32, 25, 45, 4, 72, 57, 82 and 56 per quintal respectively in All-India Weighted Average Cost of Production (A2+FL) during 2016-17 over the previous year 2015-16.

There were Kharip crops which were seen with an increase of more than Rs. 100 per quintal i.e., Rs. 129, 136, 197 and 220 per quintal for Urad, Cotton, Sunflower Seed and Nigerseed respectively in A2+FL during 2016-17 over 2015-16.

Kharip crops namely Ragi, Moong, Cotton, Soyabeen and Nigerseed were observed with an increase of more than Rs. 100 per quintal i.e., Rs. 128, 221, 387, 269 and 546 per quintal respectively in A2+FL during 2017-18 over the previous year 2016-17.

There were Kharip crops which were seen with an increase of less than Rs. 100 per quintal i.e., Rs. 72, 55, 24, 78, 77 and 2 per quintal for Paddy, Jowar, Bajra, Maize, Arhar (tur) and Sunflower Seed respectively in A2+FL during 2017-18 over 2016-17. Kharip crops namely Urad, Groundnut in Shell and Sesamum were found with decrease of Rs. -319, -212 and -121 per quintal respectively in A2+FL during 2017-18 over the previous year 2016-17.
