India’s Merchandise Exports including contribution of Small and Medium Enterprises was USD 310.35 billion during 2014-15. It has decreased by -15.49% to USD 262.29 billion during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Whereas India’s Merchandise Imports including contribution of Small and Medium Enterprises was USD 448.03 billion during 2014-15. Therefore, there is a trade balance deficit of USD -137.68 billion during 2014-15. Annual de-growth of -14.96% has been seen in Imports of India’s Merchandise including contribution of Small and Medium Enterprises to USD 381.01 billion during 2015-16 over 2014-15.
We have observed annual growth of 9.98% in Exports of India’s Merchandise including contribution of Small and Medium Enterprises to USD 303.38 billion during 2017-18 versus USD 275.85 billion during 2016-17. India’s Merchandise Imports including contribution of Small and Medium Enterprises was USD 384.36 billion during 2016-17. It has increased by 21.13% to USD 465.58 billion during 2017-18 over 2016-17. There is a trade balance deficit of USD -108.5 billion during 2016-17 and USD -162.2 billion during 2017-18.
