Index of Eight Core Industries during August 2022

This chart shows information about the index of eight core industries during August 2022. The overall Index (Base:2011-12=100) of eight core industries was 138.6. The index of Electricity was 190.4, followed by Steel (164.7), Cement (151.5), Fertilizers (130.9), Coal (127.5), Petroleum Refinery Products (123.6), Crude Oil (76.7), and Natural Gas (73).
Note – Data of latest month is provisional. Revision has been made based on revised data received for corresponding month of previous year in respect of Coal, Crude Oil, Refinery Products, Fertilizer, Steel, Cement and Electricity. Accordingly, indices for the month of previous year have been revised.; Since October, 2016, Electricity generation data from Renewable sources is also included; NA: Not Applicable/Available
