The import of naphtha was 1,762 thousand metric tonnes (TMT) in 2012-13. It has shrunk by -42.11% to 1,020 TMT during 2013-14 over 2012-13. We have observed annual de-growth of -20.35% in import of naphtha during 2017-18 from 2,777 TMT during 2016-17. The import of naphtha was 2,082 TMT during 2018-19, down by -5.88% versus 2,212 TMT during 2017-18.
The export of naphtha was 8,647 TMT in 2012-13. It has declined by -3.76% to 8,322 TMT during 2013-14 above 2012-13. Annual growth of 2.57% has been seen in export of naphtha during 2017-18 from 8,727 TMT during 2016-17. The export of naphtha was 6,963 TMT during 2018-19, down by -22.21% against 8,951 TMT during 2017-18.
The maximum annual growth of 183.46% found in 2015-16 and 22.64% observed in 2016-17 in import and export of naphtha respectively during the period under consideration.
