Import v/s Export of Fuel Oil by India from 2012-13 to 2018-19

The import of fuel oil was 1,038 thousand metric tonnes (TMT) in 2012-13. It has surged by 28.23% to 1,331 TMT during 2013-14 over 2012-13. We have observed annual growth of 31.14% in import of fuel oil during 2017-18 from 925 TMT during 2016-17. The import of fuel oil was 1,419 TMT during 2018-19, up by 16.98% versus 1,213 TMT during 2017-18.

The export of fuel oil was 5,922 TMT in 2012-13. It has increased by 4% to 6,159 TMT during 2013-14 above 2012-13. Annual growth of 12.32% has been seen in export of fuel oil during 2017-18 from 2,248 TMT during 2016-17. The export of fuel oil was 2,197 TMT during 2018-19, down by -12.99% against 2,525 TMT during 2017-18.
