Import v/s Export of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products by India from 2012-13 to 2018-19

Total import of crude oil and petroleum products was 201,149 thousand metric tonnes (TMT) in 2012-13. It has increased by 2.38% to 205,935 TMT during 2013-14 above 2012-13. We have seen annual growth of 2.27% in import of crude oil and petroleum products during 2017-18 from 250,219 TMT during 2016-17. Total import of crude oil and petroleum products was 259,846 TMT during 2018-19, up by 1.54% against 255,894 TMT during 2017-18.

Total export of crude oil and petroleum products was 63,408 TMT in 2012-13. It has surged by 7.03% to 67,864 TMT during 2013-14 above 2012-13. Annual growth of 2.01% has been observed in export of crude oil and petroleum products during 2017-18 from 65,513 TMT during 2016-17. Total export of crude oil and petroleum products was 61,096 TMT during 2018-19, down by -8.58% versus 66,833 TMT during 2017-18.
