Import of Synthetic Detergent Intermediates Products in Major Petrochemicals from 2009-10 to 2016-17

Two products namely Linear Alkyl Benzene and Ethylene Oxide in Synthetic Detergent Intermediates group of major petrochemicals were imported to India during 2009-10 to 2016-17.

We have witnessed a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.98% in import of Linear Alkyl Benzene from 91248 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 228092 metric tonne during 2016-17. An annual growth of 4.63% has been observed in import of Linear Alkyl Benzene during 2016-17 over 2015-16 from 217997 metric tonne. For Linear Alkyl Benzene product; maximum annual import of 228092 metric tonne was seen in 2016-17 and minimum annual import of 78759 metric tonne was seen in 2010-11, during the period under consideration. A maximum annual growth of 62.69% was observed in import of Linear Alkyl Benzene in 2015-16 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17.

We have witnessed a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.88% in import of Ethylene Oxide from 86 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 137 metric tonne during 2016-17. An annual growth of 37% has been observed in import of Ethylene Oxide during 2016-17 over 2015-16 from 100 metric tonne. For Ethylene Oxide product; maximum annual import of 137 metric tonne was seen in 2016-17 and minimum annual import of 21 metric tonne was seen in 2013-14, during the period under consideration. A maximum annual growth of 143.9% was observed in import of Ethylene Oxide in 2015-16 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17.
