Import of Products of Synthetic Rubber (Elastomers) in Major Petrochemicals from 2009-10 to 2016-17

There were various products of Synthetic Rubber (Elastomers) of major petrochemicals namely Styrene Butadiene Rubber, Poly Butadiene Rubber, Ethyl Propylene Dimers, Ethyl Vinyl Acetate, Nitrile Butadiene Rubber and Butyl Rubber imported to India during 2009-10 to 2016-17.

We have seen an annual decline of -13.45% in import of Styrene Butadiene Rubber from 172802 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 149559 metric tonne during 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 0.5% has been observed in import of Styrene Butadiene Rubber during 2009-10 to 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 31.79% was observed in import of Styrene Butadiene Rubber in 2010-11 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17. We have seen an annual growth of 13.75% in import of Poly Butadiene Rubber from 74646 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 84910 metric tonne during 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 7.74% has been observed in import of Poly Butadiene Rubber during 2009-10 to 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 34.56% was observed in import of Poly Butadiene Rubber in 2011-12 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17.

We have seen an annual growth of 10.26% in import of Ethyl Propylene Dimers from 39370 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 43411 metric tonne during 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 10.79% has been observed in import of Ethyl Propylene Dimers during 2009-10 to 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 34% was observed in import of Ethyl Propylene Dimers in 2010-11 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17. We have seen an annual de-growth of -12.5% in import of Ethyl Vinyl Acetate from 165264 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 144604 metric tonne during 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 9.26% has been observed in import of Ethyl Vinyl Acetate during 2009-10 to 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 30.22% was observed in import of Ethyl Vinyl Acetate in 2012-13 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17.

We have seen an annual de-growth of -29.82% in import of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber from 51937 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 36451 metric tonne during 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 13.62% has been observed in import of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber during 2009-10 to 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 94.38% was observed in import of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber in 2015-16 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17. We have seen an annual growth of 9.67% in import of Butyl Rubber from 92082 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 100984 metric tonne during 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 5.99% has been observed in import of Butyl Rubber during 2009-10 to 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 15.84% was observed in import of Butyl Rubber in 2011-12 during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17.
