Import of Polymers Products of Major Petrochemicals from 2009-10 to 2016-17

There were various major petrochemicals namely Low Density Polyethylene, High Density Polythylene, Polyestyrene, Polypropylene (Inc. Co-Polymer), Expandable Polyestyrene, Poly Vinyl Chloride, Linear Low Density Polythylene and Pvc Compound imported to India during 2009-10 to 2016-17 under Polymers group.

Compound annual growth rate of 13.47% has been observed in import of Low Density Polyethylene during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 4.47% in import of Low Density Polyethylene from 374761 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 391501 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 33.91% was observed in import of Low Density Polyethylene in 2012-13 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 11.46% has been observed in import of High Density Polythylene during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 8.54% in import of High Density Polythylene from 921743 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 1000457 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 51.18% was observed in import of High Density Polythylene in 2012-13 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17.

Compound annual growth rate of 13.56% has been observed in import of Polyestyrene during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 4.38% in import of Polyestyrene from 42514 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 44374 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 61.69% was observed in import of Polyestyrene in 2010-11 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 9.07% has been observed in import of Polypropylene (Inc. Co-Polymer) during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 11.45% in import of Polypropylene (Inc. Co-Polymer) from 700914 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 781188 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 27.65% was observed in import of Polypropylene (Inc. Co-Polymer) in 2014-15 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17.

Compound annual growth rate of -4.89% has been observed in import of Expandable Polyestyrene during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 26.77% in import of Expandable Polyestyrene from 2981 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 3779 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 38.83% was observed in import of Expandable Polyestyrene in 2010-11 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of 15.29% has been observed in import of Poly Vinyl Chloride during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 13.42% in import of Poly Vinyl Chloride from 1501311 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 1702852 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 33.1% was observed in import of Poly Vinyl Chloride in 2012-13 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17.

Compound annual growth rate of 3.12% has been observed in import of Linear Low Density Polythylene during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual decline of -20.5% in import of Linear Low Density Polythylene from 590015 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 469075 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 54.59% was observed in import of Linear Low Density Polythylene in 2010-11 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate of -3.14% has been observed in import of Pvc Compound during 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual decline of -26.01% in import of Pvc Compound from 79783 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 59032 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 13.77% was observed in import of Pvc Compound in 2015-16 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17.
