Import of Aromatics Products of Major Petrochemicals from 2009-10 to 2016-17

The Import of Benzene was 123011 metric tonne during 2009-10. An Annual de-growth of -60.65% was seen in import of Benzene to 48410 metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. Import of Benzene was 0 metric tonne during 2015-16 and 2016-17. In percentage term, a maximum annual growth of 16.55% was observed in import of Benzene in 2012-13 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. The Import of Mixed Xylene was 2802 metric tonne during 2009-10. An Annual de-growth of -99.61% was seen in import of Mixed Xylene to 11 metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have observed an annual growth of 4.63% in import of Mixed Xylene from 108 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 113 metric tonne during 2016-17. In percentage term, a maximum annual growth of 3194.08% was observed in import of Mixed Xylene in 2013-14 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17.

The Import of Ortho-Xylene was 44246 metric tonne during 2009-10. An Annual de-growth of -9.9% was seen in import of Ortho-Xylene to 39866 metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have observed an annual decline of -23.84% in import of Ortho-Xylene from 34502 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 26275 metric tonne during 2016-17. In percentage term, a maximum annual growth of 27.14% was observed in import of Ortho-Xylene in 2012-13 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. The Import of Toluene was 198906 metric tonne during 2009-10. An Annual de-growth of -5.76% was seen in import of Toluene to 187442 metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have observed an annual growth of 14.28% in import of Toluene from 343662 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 392749 metric tonne during 2016-17. In percentage term, a maximum annual growth of 30.92% was observed in import of Toluene in 2011-12 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17.

The Import of Paraxylene was 292945 metric tonne during 2009-10. An Annual growth of 37.67% was seen in import of Paraxylene to 403296 metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have observed an annual growth of 44.73% in import of Paraxylene from 826053 metric tonne during 2015-16 to 1195515 metric tonne during 2016-17. In percentage term, a maximum annual growth of 44.73% was observed in import of Paraxylene in 2016-17 during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17.
