The gross power generation from wind energy source was 23352.85 Mega Unit (MU) in India in 2011-12. The total gross power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 876886.53 MU in 2011-12. The percentage of wind power generation contribution to total power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 2.66% in 2011-12.
The gross power generation from wind energy source was 31982.11 MU in 2012-13. It increased by 8629.26 MU as compared to 2011-12. In percentage terms, the growth was 36.95%. The total gross power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 912056.7 MU in 2012-13. It increased by 35170.17 MU as compared to 2011-12. In percentage terms, the growth was 4.01%. The percentage of wind power generation contribution to total power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 3.51% in 2012-13.
The gross power generation from wind energy source was 31264.8 MU in 2013-14. It decreased by -717.31 MU as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the decrease was -2.24%. The total gross power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 967150.32 MU in 2013-14. It increased by 55093.62 MU as compared to 2012-13. In percentage terms, the growth was 6.04%. The percentage of wind power generation contribution to total power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 3.23% in 2013-14.
The gross power generation from wind energy source was 33768.3 MU in 2014-15. It increased by 2503.5 MU as compared to 2013-14. In percentage terms, the growth was 8.01%. The total gross power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 1048672.97 MU in 2014-15. It increased by 81522.65 MU as compared to 2013-14. In percentage terms, the growth was 8.43%. The percentage of wind power generation contribution to total power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 3.22% in 2014-15.
The gross power generation from wind energy source was 28430.65 MU in 2015-16 (Till Dec. 2015). The total gross power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 830170.8 MU in 2015-16 (Till Dec. 2015). The percentage of wind power generation contribution to total power generation in the country including import from Bhutan was 3.42% in 2015-16 (Till Dec. 2015).
