Gross Non-Performing Assets of Scheduled Commercial Banks in India as on 31.03.2014 to as on 31.12.2018

India has witnessed an increasing trend in Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) of Scheduled Commercial Banks as on 31.03.2014 to as on 31.03.2018. As on 31st March 2014; Gross NPAs of Scheduled Commercial Banks in India was Rs. 2,63,015 crore, which was 3.83% of the disbursement of gross loans and advances (Rs. 68,75,748 crore). Gross NPAs has increased by 22.98% to Rs. 3,23,464 crore as on 31.03.2015 above as on 31.03.2014.

Gross NPAs of Scheduled Commercial Banks in India was Rs. 10,36,187 crore as on 31st Mar 2018, up by 31.07% against Rs. 7,90,556 crore as on 31st Mar 2017. It was 9.3% and 11.18% of the gross loans and advances disbursed as on 31.03.2017 and as on 31.03.2018 respectively. Disbursement of gross loans and advances of Scheduled Commercial Banks in India was Rs. 85,00,869 crore and Rs. 92,66,210 crore as on 31st Mar 2017 and as on 31st Mar 2018 respectively.

As on 31st December 2018, Gross NPAs of Scheduled Commercial Banks in India was Rs. 10,07,988 crore (10.19% of Rs. 98,93,196 crore, disbursed as gross loans and advances).
