Fund Released by Government of India for cleaning of River Ganga from 2014-15 to 2018-19

Under the Namami Gange Programme, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is carrying out the water quality monitoring of river Ganga from Gangotri to West Bengal and Government of India (GoI) is releasing fund for cleaning of River Ganga. Release of fund for cleaning of River Ganga was Rs. 326 crore by GoI in 2014-15. It has increased by 400.61% to Rs. 1632 crore during 2015-16 above 2014-15. In absolute term the increase was Rs. 1306 crore in 2015-16 against 2014-15.

Fund released by GoI for cleaning of River Ganga was Rs. 1423.22 crore during 2017-18, down by -15.03% versus Rs. 1675 crore during 2016-17. In absolute term the decrease was Rs. -251.78 crore in 2017-18 against 2016-17. Release of fund for cleaning of River Ganga was Rs. 467 crore by GoI in 2018-19 (till 30th June 2018).
