Fund released by Central Government for construction of toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) as on 17th December 2018

Total amount of Rs. 3263.85 crores was released by Central Government for construction of toilets in India under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) [SBM (U)] as on 17th December 2018. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to fund released by Central Government for construction of toilets under SBM (U) as on 17.12.2018 were Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

Fund released to Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 450.82 crores for construction of toilets under SBM (U) as on 17th December 2018, which accounted 13.81% of the total amount released for construction of toilets under SBM (U) in India. Amount of Rs. 362.78 crores was released to Maharashtra for construction of toilets under SBM (U) as on 17.12.2018. It accounted 11.12% of the total amount released by Central Government for construction of toilets under SBM (U) in India as on the same period. Fund released to Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 328.24 crores for construction of toilets under SBM (U) as on 17.12.2018, which accounted 10.06% of the total amount released for construction of toilets under SBM (U) in India.

Amount of Rs. 259.14 crores and Rs. 207.43 crores was released to Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan respectively for construction of toilets under SBM (U) as on 17th Dec 2018. Tamil Nadu accounted for 7.94% and Rajasthan accounted for 6.36% of the total amount released by Central Government for construction of toilets under SBM (U) in India as on 17.12.2018.

The aforementioned top 5 states accounted for 49.28% of the total amount released by Central Government for construction of toilets under SBM (U) in India as a whole as on 17th December 2018.
