Functioning Health Sub Centres in India during 2015

The total number of functioning Sub Centres for health facilities in India was 153655 during 2015. The top 10 states in terms of the number of functioning Sub Centres were: Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh during 2015.

The number of functioning Sub Centres in Uttar Pradesh was 20521 during 2015. It accounted for 13.36% of the total number of functioning Sub Centres in India during 2015. The number of functioning Sub Centres in Rajasthan was 14407 during 2015. It accounted for 9.38% of the total number of functioning Sub Centres in India during 2015. The number of functioning Sub Centres in Maharashtra was 10580 during 2015. It accounted for 6.89% of the total number of functioning Sub Centres in India during 2015. The number of functioning Sub Centres in West Bengal was 10357 during 2015. It accounted for 6.74% of the total number of functioning Sub Centres in India during 2015. The number of functioning Sub Centres in Bihar was 9729 during 2015. It accounted for 6.33% of the total number of functioning Sub Centres in India during 2015.

These top 5 states accounted for 42.7% of the total number of functioning Sub Centres in India as a whole during 2015.

The number of functioning Sub Centres in Karnataka was 9264 during 2015 (6.03% of All India). The number of functioning Sub Centres in Madhya Pradesh was 9192 during 2015 (5.98% of All India). The number of functioning Sub Centres in Tamil Nadu was 8706 during 2015 (5.67% of All India). The number of functioning Sub Centres in Gujarat was 8063 during 2015 (5.25% of All India). The number of functioning Sub Centres in Andhra Pradesh was 7659 during 2015 (4.98% of All India).

The above mentioned top 10 states accounted for 70.61% of the total number of functioning Sub Centres in India as a whole during 2015.
