Foreign Direct Investment Inflows in Petroleum & Natural Gas Sector in India from 2012-13 to 2018-19

There was a lot of volatility in foreign direct investment (FDI) equity inflows in petroleum & natural gas (P&NG) sector in India during the period 2012-13 to 2018-19. However, we have observed compound annual growth rate of -3.88% in FDI equity inflows in P&NG sector in India during the period under consideration.

FDI equity inflows in P&NG sector in India was Rs. 11,925.66 million in 2012-13. It has declined by -43.12% to Rs. 6,783.9 million during 2013-14 above 2012-13. Annual de-growth of -86.96% has been seen in FDI equity inflows in P&NG sector in India during 2017-18 from Rs. 11,970.57 million during 2016-17. FDI equity inflows in P&NG sector in India was Rs. 9,402.3 million during 2018-19, up by 502.35% against Rs. 1,560.93 million during 2017-18.

The maximum annual growth rate of 857.51% has been found in 2014-15 in FDI equity inflows in P&NG sector in India during the period under consideration.
