Female Students Availing Education Loan in 2012-2013

Ministry of Human Resource Development had initiated an All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) in 2011 to prepare a sound database on Higher Education in the country.  The survey covers all the institutions in the country engaged in imparting the higher education.  It is getting updated from the annual data submitted by the institutions.

The number of female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-2013 was 81571.

The number of female students availing education loan for higher education in Tamil Nadu in 2012-2013 was 38897. Thus, the percentage of female students availing education loan for higher education in Tamil Nadu was 47.68% of total female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of female students availing education loan for higher education in Karnataka in 2012-2013 was 13222. Thus, the percentage of female students availing education loan for higher education in Karnataka was 16.21% of total female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of female students availing education loan for higher education in Kerala in 2012-2013 was 9415. Thus, the percentage of female students availing education loan for higher education in Kerala was 11.54% of total female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of female students availing education loan for higher education in Maharashtra in 2012-2013 was 4865. Thus, the percentage of female students availing education loan for higher education in Maharashtra was 5.96% of total female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of female students availing education loan for higher education in West Bengal in 2012-2013 was 2092. Thus, the percentage of female students availing education loan for higher education in West Bengal was 2.56% of total female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.
