Farmers Benefited for Procurement of Pulses at MSP under Price Support Scheme during 2017-18 & 2018-19

The number of farmers benefited for procurement of Gram pulses at minimum support price (MSP) under price support scheme (PSS) was 356,293 during 2018-19, down by -71.38% against 1,244,833 during 2017-18. The number of farmers benefited for procurement of Masoor pulses at MSP under PSS was 175,341 in 2017-18. It has tanked by -73.94% to 45,700 during 2018-19 above 2017-18. We have observed annual growth 51.51% in farmers benefited for procurement of Moong pulses at MSP under PSS to 285,316 during 2018-19 from 188,321 during 2017-18.

There were 995,524 farmers benefited for procurement of Toor pulses at MSP under PSS in 2017-18. It has shrunken by -69.89% to 299,782 during 2018-19 over 2017-18. The number of farmers benefited for procurement of Urad pulses at MSP under PSS was 442,972 during 2018-19, up by 46.83% versus 301,694 during 2017-18.
