Export of Polymers under Major Petrochemicals from 2009-10 to 2016-17

Various products namely Low Density Polyethylene, High Density Polythylene, Polyestyrene, Polypropylene (Inc. Co-Polymer), Expandable Polyestyrene, Poly Vinyl Chloride, Linear Low Density Polythylene and PVC Compound were exported from India under Polymers group of Major Petrochemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17.

We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 24.7% in export of Low Density Polyethylene from 5739 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 26909 metric tonne during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 107.68% was observed in export of Low Density Polyethylene in 2010-11 during the period under consideration. We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 31.76% in export of High Density Polythylene from 21488 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 148142 metric tonne during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 521.21% was observed in export of High Density Polythylene in 2010-11 during the period under consideration. We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 5.67% in export of Polyestyrene from 56109 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 82542 metric tonne during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 21.57% was observed in export of Polyestyrene in 2012-13 during the period under consideration.

Compound annual growth rate of 0.25% has been observed in export of Polypropylene (Inc. Co-Polymer) from 564444 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 574234 metric tonne during 2016-17. We have found a maximum annual growth rate of 40.14% in export of Polypropylene (Inc. Co-Polymer) in 2011-12 during the period under consideration. Compound annual growth rate of 4.49% has been observed in export of Expandable Polyestyrene from 2719 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 3697 metric tonne during 2016-17. We have found a maximum annual growth rate of 915.92% in export of Expandable Polyestyrene in 2012-13 during the period under consideration. Compound annual growth rate of 34.89% has been observed in export of Poly Vinyl Chloride from 798 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 6484 metric tonne during 2016-17. We have found a maximum annual growth of 1259.65% in export of Poly Vinyl Chloride in 2010-11 during the period under consideration.

We have observed a compound annual growth rate of 54.77% in export of Linear Low Density Polythylene from 2502 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 53215 metric tonne during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 491.89% was seen in export of Linear Low Density Polythylene in 2010-11 during the period under consideration. We have observed a compound annual growth rate of 23.89% in export of PVC Compound from 3773 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 16901 metric tonne during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 59.34% was seen in export of PVC Compound in 2010-11 during the period under consideration.
