Expenditure on Ongoing Project under Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme in Madhya Pradesh during 2015-16

The total expenditure incurred on all ongoing projects under Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP) in Madhya Pradesh (MP) was Rs. 2217.43 crores during 2015-16. The top 10 projects under AIBP in Madhya Pradesh in terms of the expenditure incurred on project were: Pench Div. -I, Bansagar Unit-II, Sindh Phase II, Indira Sagar Canal Ph. III, Indira Sagar Unit-IV, Mahi, Indira Sagar Unit-II (Ph. I & II), Omkareshwar Ph. II, Bargi Diversion Ph. IV and Bariarpur LBC during 2015-16.

The expenditure incurred on project Pench Div. -I was Rs. 751.99 crores during 2015-16. It accounted for 33.91% of the expenditure incurred on all ongoing projects under AIBP in MP during 2015-16. The expenditure incurred on project Bansagar Unit-II was Rs. 611.78 crores during 2015-16. It accounted for 27.59% of the expenditure incurred on all ongoing projects under AIBP in MP during 2015-16. The expenditure incurred on project Sindh Phase II was Rs. 158.14 crores during 2015-16. It accounted for 7.13% of the expenditure incurred on all ongoing projects under AIBP in MP during 2015-16.

The expenditure incurred on project Indira Sagar Canal Ph. III was Rs. 140.82 crores during 2015-16. It accounted for 6.35% of the expenditure incurred on all ongoing projects under AIBP in MP during 2015-16. The expenditure incurred on project Indira Sagar Unit-IV was Rs. 105.81 crores during 2015-16. It accounted for 4.77% of the expenditure incurred on all ongoing projects under AIBP in MP during 2015-16.

These top 5 projects accounted for 79.75% of the total expenditure incurred on all ongoing AIBP projects in Madhya Pradesh as a whole during 2015-16.

The expenditure incurred on project Mahi was Rs. 81.94 crores during 2015-16 (3.7% of expenditure on all ongoing AIBP projects in MP). The expenditure incurred on project Indira Sagar Unit-II (Ph. I & II) was Rs. 64.19 crores during 2015-16 (2.89% of expenditure on all ongoing AIBP projects in MP). The expenditure incurred on project Omkareshwar Ph. II was Rs. 53.44 crores during 2015-16 (2.41% of expenditure on all ongoing AIBP projects in MP). The expenditure incurred on project Bargi Diversion Ph. IV was Rs. 38.9 crores during 2015-16 (1.75% of expenditure on all ongoing AIBP projects in MP). The expenditure incurred on project Bariarpur LBC was Rs. 35.22 crores during 2015-16 (1.59% of expenditure on all ongoing AIBP projects in MP).

The above mentioned top 10 projects accounted for 92.09% of the total expenditure incurred on all ongoing AIBP projects in Madhya Pradesh as a whole during 2015-16.
