Domestic Tourists Arrival in Tamil Nadu 2020

Domestic tourism is a tourism involving residents of one country traveling only within that country. Tamil Nadu, a South Indian state, is famous for its Dravidian-style Hindu temples and other important tourist attractions throughout.

Based on the Time Series data published in Statistical Hand Book 2020 by the Department of Economics and Statistics, it is found that the arrival of Domestic Tourists in Tamil Nadu is getting increased year after year.

The graph shown below clearly exhibits the rise in number of Domestic Tourists arrival in Tamil Nadu over a period of 18 years, from 2001 to 2018.

The number of Domestic Tourists arrived was 2.38 Crores in the year 2001, which has been substantially increased to 38.59 Crores in the year 2018.
