India has witnessed a decreasing trend in production of domestic crude oil from 2011-12 to 2017-18. It has decreased by -6.33% during 2017-18 versus 2011-12.
Domestic crude oil production was 38.09 Million Metric Tons (MMT) in 2011-12. It has decreased by -60 basis points to 37.86 MMT during 2012-13 above 2011-12. In absolute term it was down by -0.95 MMT in 2012-13 against 2011-12. We have observed annual de-growth of -2.57% in production of domestic crude oil during 2016-17 from 36.96 MMT during 2015-16. Domestic crude oil production was 35.68 MMT during 2017-18, down by -92 basis points versus 36.01 MMT during 2016-17. In absolute term it was down by -0.33 MMT in 2017-18 against 2016-17.
The maximum annual decrease of -2.57% has been seen in 2016-17 and minimum annual decrease of -0.18% has been found in 2013-14 in production of domestic crude oil during the period under consideration.
