Domestic Consumption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas from 2011-12 to 2017-18

India has witnessed an increasing trend in domestic consumption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) during 2011-12 to 2017-18. We have observed compound annual growth rate of 7.35% in domestic consumption of LPG during the period under consideration.

Domestic consumption of LPG was 13,295.91 thousand tonnes in 2011-12. It has increased by 2.05% to 13,568.03 thousand tonnes during 2012-13 above 2011-12. Annual growth of 9.83% has been seen in domestic consumption of LPG during 2016-17 from 17,181.72 thousand tonnes during 2015-16. Domestic consumption of LPG was 20,351.7 thousand tonnes during 2017-18, up by 7.84% against 18,871.36 thousand tonnes during 2016-17.

Maximum annual growth rate of 11.3% has been found in 2014-15 and minimum annual growth rate of 2.05% has been observed in 2012-13 in domestic consumption of LPG during the period under consideration. Maximum annual increase of 1,689.64 thousand tonnes has been seen in 2016-17 in domestic consumption of LPG during the period under consideration.
