Disbursement of Funds by National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation in 2015-16

The total amount of funds disbursed by National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC)for various States/UTs in India was Rs. 17660 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 2162.94 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 15497.06 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 13.96%. There were 9 states having more than Rs. 500 lakhs in the amount of funds disbursed by NSTFDC viz. Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and West Bengal.

The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Telangana was Rs. 5000 lakhs in 2015-16. The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Andhra Pradesh was Rs. 3313.14 lakhs in 2015-16. The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Gujarat was Rs. 2137.84 lakhs in 2015-16. It decreased by Rs. -205.35 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 2343.19 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2015-16 was -8.76%.

The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Arunachal Pradesh was Rs. 1863.6 lakhs in 2015-16. It decreased by Rs. -2789.4 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 4653 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2015-16 was -59.95%. The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Mizoram was Rs. 984.72 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 912.72 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 72 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 1267.67%. This huge growth in percentage terms was due to low base effect in the year 2014-15.

The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Chhattisgarh was Rs. 933.53 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 913 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 20.53 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 4447.15%. This huge growth in percentage terms was due to low base effect in the year 2014-15. The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 687.82 lakhs in 2015-16. It decreased by Rs. -5.17 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 692.99 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2015-16 was -0.75%.

The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for Nagaland was Rs. 563.81 lakhs in 2015-16. It decreased by Rs. 353.41 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 210.4 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2015-16 was 167.97%. The amount of fund disbursed by NSTFDC for West Bengal was Rs. 540.87 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 354.03 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 186.84 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 189.48%.
