There were 4 states with more than 10,000 un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY viz. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha as on 31.03.2016.
The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Uttar Pradesh was 29113 as on 31.03.2016. It accounted for 25.17% of the number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in the twenty states in India as on 31.03.2016. The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Bihar was 25040 as on 31.03.2016. It accounted for 21.65% of the number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in the twenty states in India as on 31.03.2016.
The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Jharkhand was 18212 as on 31.03.2016. It accounted for 15.74% of the number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in the twenty states in India as on 31.03.2016. The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Odisha was 15644 as on 31.03.2016. It accounted for 13.52% of the number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in the twenty states in India as on 31.03.2016.
There were 7 states with more than 1,000 un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY viz. Assam, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand as on 31.03.2016.
The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Assam was 9153 as on 31.03.2016 (7.91% of the twenty states in India). The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Rajasthan was 4304 as on 31.03.2016 (3.72% of the twenty states in India). The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in West Bengal was 4192 as on 31.03.2016 (3.62% of the twenty states in India). The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Arunachal Pradesh was 2252 as on 31.03.2016 (1.95% of the twenty states in India).
The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Meghalaya was 1842 as on 31.03.2016 (1.59% of the twenty states in India). The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Chhattisgarh was 1692 as on 31.03.2016 (1.46% of the twenty states in India). The number of un-electrified villages electrified under DDUGJY in Uttarakhand was 1514 as on 31.03.2016 (1.31% of the twenty states in India).
