Crude Oil Pipeline Capacity with Utilization Percentage in India during 2015-16 & 2016-17

Capacity of Total Crude Oil Pipeline was 141235 thousand metric tonnes in India as on 31.03.2015. Throughput was 105392 thousand metric tonnes during 2015-16 with utilization of 74.62%. Capacity of Onshore Crude Oil Pipeline was 96101 thousand metric tonnes in India as on 31.03.2015. Throughput was 92325 thousand metric tonnes during 2015-16 with utilization of 96.07%. Capacity of Offshore Crude Oil Pipeline was 45134 thousand metric tonnes in India as on 31.03.2015. Throughput was 13067 thousand metric tonnes during 2015-16 with utilization of 28.95%.

Capacity of Total Crude Oil Pipeline was 141145 thousand metric tonnes in India as on 31.03.2016. Throughput was 105498.4 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17 with utilization of 74.75%. Capacity of Onshore Crude Oil Pipeline was 96011 thousand metric tonnes in India as on 31.03.2016. Throughput was 92614.4 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17 with utilization of 96.46%. Capacity of Offshore Crude Oil Pipeline was 45134 thousand metric tonnes in India as on 31.03.2016. Throughput was 12884 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17 with utilization of 28.55%.

Note: NA: Not Available; Source: Oil Companies; P: Provisional; 1.: 78 km X 14” Nawagam-Koyali line was given on lease to IOC in 2000 and was handed back to ONGC on 1st Apr.’10. The line was restored and re-commissioned in Oct.’12; 2.: CTF Ankleshwar to Makan ‘T’ point section i.e. HOEC Junction (about 47.51 km) of CTF Ankleshwar – Koyali Refinery Trunk pipeline was not in use up to 31.08.2013. After damage / rupture of 8” CTF to CPF line on 25.08.2013, CTF to Koyali Trunk pipeline is in use from 31.08.2013 for dispatch of Ankleshwar Crude oil including PSC & JV. CTF, Ankleshwar to Koyali Oil Pipeline (AKCL) actual quantity includes Ankleshwar, PSC, JV and Cambay crude oil also; 3.: New 12” Lakwa-Moran Oil Line commissioned on 22.08.16; 4.: Pipeline is not under use due to multiple leakages and required repair on account of RoU issues.
