Cotton Production in India from 2001-02 to 2016-17

Production of Cotton was 9997 thousand bales in India during 2001-02. It has decreased by -13.73% to 8624 thousand bales during 2002-03 over 2001-02. We have observed annual growth of 6.67% in Cotton production in India from 33000 thousand bales during 2010-11 to 35200 thousand bales during 2011-12. Cotton production was 32123 thousand bales in India during 2016-17, up by 6.55% versus 30147 thousand bales during 2015-16.

Maximum Cotton production of 35902 thousand bales was found in 2013-14 during the period under consideration. Minimum production of Cotton was 8624 thousand bales observed in 2002-03 during the period under consideration. Maximum annual growth of 59.2% has been found in Cotton production in 2003-04 during the period under consideration.
