Consumption of Electricity in Tamil Nadu 2020

As per the data published in the Statistical Hand Book of 2020 released by Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of Tamil Nadu, it is noticed that the  major consumer of Electricity in Tamil Nadu, is the Industries sector at 36,028 Million Units, constituting 39.2% of the total consumption, followed by other consumers as shown below:

Domestic Consumers    ——– 26,996 Million units, at 29.37%

Agricultural Sector     ——– 13064 Million units, at 14.21%

Public Lighting and Water Works     ——– 2282 Million units, at 2.48%

Commercial Consumers —– 10282 Million Units, at 11.19% and

Miscellaneous              ——–   3115 Million units, 3.39%

(Includes Public Lighting and Water Works and Sales to Licensees & Sales to Other States)
