India has witnessed an increasing trend in consumption (end use) of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from 2011-12 to 2017-18. We have seen compound annual growth rate of 7.24% in consumption (end use) of LPG during the period under consideration.
Consumption (end use) of LPG was 15349.7 thousand tonnes in 2011-12. It has increased by 164 basis points to 15600.7 thousand tonnes during 2012-13 above 2011-12. Annual growth of 10.12% has been seen in consumption (end use) of LPG during 2016-17 from 19623.21 thousand tonnes during 2015-16. Consumption (end use) of LPG was 23343.44 thousand tonnes during 2017-18, up by 8.03% against 21608.21 thousand tonnes during 2016-17.
Maximum annual growth rate of 10.47% has been found in 2014-15 and minimum annual growth rate of 1.64% has been observed in 2012-13 in consumption (end use) of LPG during the period under consideration. Maximum annual increase of 1985 thousand tonnes has been seen in 2016-17 in consumption (end use) of LPG during the period under consideration.
