Coal PSUs-wise Quantum of Land acquired during 2014-15 to 2016-17

The quantum of land acquired by coal PSUs during the three years from 2014-15 to 2016-17 was 3645.61 hectare, 9030.71 hectare and 3317.82 hectare respectively. There were various Coal PSUs namely Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) which had acquired land during 2014-15 to 2016-17.

The quantum of land acquired by ECL was 222.71 hectare during 2014-15. We have observed annual growth of 150.53% to 557.95 hectare during 2015-16 and -64.59% to 197.58 hectare during 2016-17 in quantum of land acquired by ECL. The quantum of land acquired by BCCL was 31.94 hectare during 2014-15. We have observed annual growth of 2480.65% to 824.26 hectare during 2015-16 and -98.53% to 12.11 hectare during 2016-17 in quantum of land acquired by BCCL. The quantum of land acquired by CCL was 632.87 hectare during 2014-15. We have observed annual growth of 219.57% to 2022.44 hectare during 2015-16 and -96.01% to 80.78 hectare during 2016-17 in quantum of land acquired by CCL. The quantum of land acquired by NCL was 180 hectare, 0 hectare and 0 hectare during 2014-15 to 2016-17 respectively.

The quantum of land acquired by WCL was 1345.49 hectare during 2014-15. We have observed annual growth of 22.5% to 1648.27 hectare during 2015-16 and -98.45% to 25.5 hectare during 2016-17 in quantum of land acquired by WCL. The quantum of land acquired by SECL was 1185.1 hectare during 2014-15. We have observed annual growth of 206.93% to 3637.37 hectare during 2015-16 and -61.77% to 1390.6 hectare during 2016-17 in quantum of land acquired by SECL. The quantum of land acquired by MCL was 47.5 hectare during 2014-15. We have observed annual growth of 616.67% to 340.42 hectare during 2015-16 and 373.31% to 1611.25 hectare during 2016-17 in quantum of land acquired by MCL. The quantum of land acquired by CMPDI was 0 hectare in all the three years during 2014-15 to 2016-17.

Coal PSUs namely ECL, BCCL, CCL, NCL, WCL, SECL, MCL and CMPDI had weightage of 6.18%, 9.13%, 22.4%, 0%, 18.25%, 40.28%, 3.77% and 0% respectively quantum of land acquired of the total quantum of land acquired by Coal PSUs during 2015-16. Coal PSUs namely ECL, BCCL, CCL, NCL, WCL, SECL, MCL and CMPDI had weightage of 5.96%, 0.36%, 2.43%, 0%, 0.77%, 41.91%, 48.56% and 0% respectively quantum of land acquired of the total quantum of land acquired by Coal PSUs during 2016-17.
