Coal Production from 2000-01 to 2015-16

We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 4.86% in Coal Production from 313696 thousand tonne during 2000-01 to 639021 thousand tonne during 2015-16.

Production of Coal during 2000-01 was 313696 thousand tonne. Its value was Rs. 203519700 thousand during 2000-01. Production of Coal during 2001-02 was 327787 thousand tonne. Its value was Rs. 216479600 thousand during 2001-02. It increased by 14091 thousand tone during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the increase was 4.49% during 2001-02 over 2000-01.

We have seen a growth of 6.09% in Coal Production from 430832 thousand tonne during 2006-07 to 457082 thousand tonne during 2007-08. Its value was Rs 348367906 thousand and Rs. 384645565 thousand during 2006-07 and 2007-08 respectively. Production of Coal during 2008-09 was 492757 thousand tonne. Its value was Rs. 455370200 thousand during 2008-09. It increased by 35675 thousand tonne during 2008-09 as compared to the previous year 2007-08. In percentage term, the increase was 7.8% during 2008-09 over 2007-08.

We have seen a growth of 7.68% in Coal Production from 565765 thousand tonne during 2013-14 to 609200 thousand tonne during 2014-15. Its value was Rs 825347500 thousand and Rs. 892871700 thousand during 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively. Production of Coal during 2015-16 was 639021 thousand tonne. Its value was Rs. 934944048 thousand during 2015-16. It increased by 29821 thousand tonne during 2015-16 as compared to the previous year 2014-15. In percentage term, the increase was 4.9% during 2015-16 over 2014-15.

The maximum annual growth of 43435 thousand tonne was recorded in Production of Coal in the year 2014-15 during the period under consideration. The maximum annual growth rate, i.e., 7.97% was recorded in Production of Coal in the year 2009-10 during the period under consideration.
